On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Denzel Washington School of Arts students crowded into the large auditorium, sharing excitement with their peers to celebrate those who made it onto the honor roll. Middle and high school levels cheered together as over 150 DWSA students walked across the stage to collect their certificates and stand together in their achievement.

Scholars at Denzel Washington School of the Arts exited the library with pamphlets in hand, excited for what's to come after exploring their postsecondary education options at a college fair on Friday, November 1, 2024.
The sounds of percussion and brass instruments filled the Phylicia Rashad Auditorium at Denzel Washington School of the Arts, as DWSA hosted the Monroe Classic: Battle of the Bands on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Denzel Washington School of the Arts held their first of several gaming tournaments on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, to identify the top eight players who will make up the Playmakers Team. The Playmakers Program is comprised of different schools and gaming teams around the country who are paid to compete in gaming tournaments. They will also learn financial literacy and how to venture into the different avenues of the gaming industry.
On October 17, 2024, Visual Arts students at Denzel Washington School of the Arts facilitated their annual Paint Night fundraiser to raise money for the program. With a $20 donation, families and friends were invited to spend the night painting a beautiful landscape with one another and enjoy soft jazz tunes played by one of the students, Alicia Hall.
Parents and their children came out to Denzel Washington School of the Arts for an informative meet and greet session on Monday, September 30, 2024. Prior to the meet and greet with teachers, seniors and their families also received information about senior year and the college application process during their senior meeting.
Denzel Washington School of the Arts students ended summer break with a back-to-school kickoff party and welcomed the new school year by buzzing from table to table and enjoying food provided by various food trucks and the school. Music provided by a DJ boomed through the air as students danced around with their friends and made new ones by signing up for clubs and various organizations such as Girls Inc. of Westchester County and the school’s Textile Club. The kick-off was held on the first full school day on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
